Purpose of this Resource iRubric is a useful resource created for teachers, by teachers. This resource allows teachers to quickly build assessment rubric for their classrooms!

Benefits for Students iRubric is great for students because it provides clear assessment expectations. This allows students to better understand what they are asked to do for any assignment. Students can also help build class rubrics for a variety of activities/assignments, which allows them to further develop an understanding of what is expected of them. Rubrics are a good way of showing students what they did well in or what they need to improve on.

Benefits for Teachers The rubric building option allows teachers to create rubrics from scratch or from existing rubrics. This resources helps teachers not waste time with rubric building and can guide them. Not only can teachers create rubrics but they also have access to a list of all ministry courses and curriculum expectations for every subject. After a teacher has picked their curriculum expectation, iRubric creates four different levels of assessment for them. iRubric also allows teachers to keep track of students grade, since it automatically saves every students’ grades, which helps teachers keep track of their students progress. Teachers can then export their documents to Word or Wordpress to print for their students.

Limitations iRubric allows teachers to create rubrics for free, however to be able to transfer them to Word or Wordpress teachers need the premium version, which coms with a cost. Also, if teachers want to use the grade tracker and all the other helpful features they need to be part of the premium plan.  Reliability All information found in your iRubric account is secured by the industry standard SSL (secure socket layer) certificate.
